Greek workers strike as government tightens belt

On February 10th workers in Greece protested government’s plans about raising the age of pensioners. Right now woman retire at 60 and man at 65. They want both man and woman to retire at 65.
The government is also proposing cuts in workers´ bonus pay, which for many is a large percentage of their income.
Greece´s government says that this is the only way to get the national debt under control.
There are more strikes planned for this month.
